TRASTEVERE

THE HEART OF ROME

The unmistakable colors that mingle with the crowd of the XIII district alleys, the fresh smell of freshly baked bread, the smiles, the hands greeting with enthusiasm. It is in Trastevere that you breathe air of Roman authenticity. A neighborhood with two souls: the morning is the ideal place for those who love simple things and want to revive the ancient tradition, the evening turns and becomes a stage for pure fun.

TRILUSSA

THE ROMAN POET

Walking through the magical streets of Trastevere you can’t miss Piazza Trilussa with its wonderful fountain commissioned by Paolo V Borghese to architects Van Santen and Giovanni Fontana. Trilussa is the anagram of the last name of poet Carlo Alberto Salustri, an Italian poet who lived between the end of the nineteenth and the early twentieth century, famous for comic poetry in Romanesque dialect. Today is the meeting place for the Roman Movida.
